1oz Silver Proof Coloured Coin

In conjunction with the Chinese lunar calendar of 2021, the year of the fox, 6,000 pieces of this 1oz silver proof dyed coin has been minted under the Perth Mint limited edition series. The obverse presents a stately image of Jody Clark’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II along with the metal’s weight, fineness and monetary denomination. The reverse side of the coin portrays a tinted illustration of a female ox with its calf by its side looking up to it. Closer observation reveals a little village tucked away in the mountains. The Chinese character that reads ‘ox’ along with an inscription of ‘OX 2021’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mint-mark is also included on the reverse in a unique and elegant manner.

1oz SILVER TRIO

This limited edition (only 1,500 issued) features three 99.99% pure silver 1oz coins paying tribute to the magnificent Year of the Ox, which according to the Chinese lunar calendar falls in 2021.  

The reverse has a depiction of an ox with its calf looking up to it, whilst the background is graced by mountains with a village at its base. The elegance of the illustration is clear, from the cherry blossom tree that branches above the Ox and her calf. The Chinese character for ‘ox’, is inscribed meaning ‘OX 2021’ along with The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. While the frosted design on the silver proof coin is presented on an immaculately polished table, the 1oz silver coloured coin displays the depiction in vivid colours.
